DRAW OR DIE PRESENTS: GDC VS. GSA |

|
GDC VS. GSA WAS DEVELOPED TOGETHER WITH BRIAN KELLY AND TANYA ECCLESTON AT GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART. THE PROJECT CULMINATED IN A DRAWING EXHIBITION WITH MORE THAN 100 DIFFERENT PIECES. A SUBJECT, RULES AND A PIECE OF PAPER WAS PROVIDED FOR BEGINNING A DRAWING. THE RULES WERE ‘YOU MUST USE THE PROVIDED SHEET OF PAPER’, ‘ THERE ARE NO MISTAKES’, ‘YOU MUST MAKE MARKS ON THE PAPER’, ‘YOU MUST DRAW THE PROVIDED SUBJECT’ AND ‘NO WRITING’. THE IDEA BEHIND THE RULES AND THE SUBJECT WAS TO ENCOURAGE AND STIMULATE AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO SUBMIT A DRAWING. SOME PEOPLE STUCK TO THE RULES WHILE OTHER DECIDED TO BREAK THEM. DRAW OR DIE INCLUDED ALL DRAWINGS IN THE EXHIBITION. THE EXHIBITION WAS THE FIRST CROSS YEAR EXHIBITION EVER IN GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART AND WAS MEANT TO ENCOURAGE MORE STUDENTS AND STAFF TO DRAW. DRAW OR DIE WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE THAT TOOK PART IN THE EXHIBITION. |
